libsocket-multicast6-perl software package provides base module for IPv4 and IPv6 multicast socket operations, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsocket-multicast6-perl
libsocket-multicast6-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsocket-multicast6-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsocket-multicast6-perl *
